Got our family photos back and DAMN. 😍 I genuinely don’t know how I’m supposed to pick favourites when they’re ALL THIS GOOD. Our photographer absolutely knocked it out of the park. The lighting, the location, the little candid moments… EVERYTHING. 🥹 And can we talk about how big Charlie and Carson are getting?! I swear I blinked and suddenly they’re not babies anymore. Life is busy, the days are chaotic, and getting everyone dressed and out the door for family photos is always an adventure. 😂 But these? These are the moments I want to remember forever. My biggest real estate mistake in 10 years? It cost my client thousands of dollars. And it STILL haunts me. This isn’t a story I’ve shared publicly before. Everything was going perfectly… until 4 days before closing when the lender pulled the financing. The deal fell apart. My client lost her deposit. And I was absolutely devastated. Was it entirely my fault? No. Could I have done more to prevent it? Absolutely. And that’s the part I’ve carried with me all these years. Thankfully, we were able to make my client whole financially. But that experience changed the way I do business forever. Here’s what I’ve learned after 10 years in real estate… Experience doesn’t mean you’ve never made mistakes. It means you’ve learned from them, taken accountability, and made damn sure you don’t repeat them. I’m not sharing this because I’m proud of what happened. One of my biggest takeaways from RISE was this idea of dreaming bigger. Not safer. Not smaller. Bigger. Tamir shared a story that stuck with me — back in February 2021, he sent a message saying: “I think we should buy RE/MAX.” At the time, I’m sure that sounded absolutely wild. Too big. Too bold. Maybe even impossible. But that’s the thing about big dreams. They usually do sound a little crazy at first. He also quoted JFK: “We choose to go to the moon… and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard.” Such a good reminder that the dreams worth chasing are usually the ones that stretch us the most.
